Every good plan begins with a great team. Our team is comprised of highly experienced, passionate members who serve our business and operational objectives like no other resort in the Canadian Rockies. They bring a wealth of competitive experience, knowledge, and industry relationships that deliver tactical benefits to the company and most importantly our guests.
the path forward
preserve. enhance. share.
Developing (or re-developing in this case) in a place as majestic as Fortress is something that must be done with the utmost care and attention. Fortress holds a special place in so many hearts, and it is up to us to make sure that we deliver a resort that links to the past while taking advantage of today’s technologies. It is also home to true wilderness, wilderness that we must do everything we can to preserve and enhance; it is after all why people love Fortress so much.
Fortress, version 2.0, will include a new / modern lift network, new in-ground utilities, new daylodge, expanded terrain, year round service & activities, and a modern base area accommodating a broad market with hotel, spa, hostel, brewery, retail, and interpretive facilities. A new Fortress will be able to accommodate many more visitors than in the past, with that, it is imperative that we keep the link to the Fortress of old. The character of the place was epic - who doesn’t dream about chilling out by the copper fireplace or charging down the FarSide Chutes? Linking this legacy into a new Fortress is always to be kept front of mind!
